Announcing our Support of buildOn!

Magic Future is delighted to be working closely with buildOn. Their work exemplifies The Magic Future Foundation’s mission to educate and inspire generations of people so they can lead happy, purposeful lives. To date, they have built 524 schools in under-privileged areas that are attended by about 81,000 people every day! These schools help break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations on a local and global scale through programs spanning from the streets of New York City to the deserts of Mali to the mountains of Nepal.

The Magic Future Foundation is currently engaged in a program with buildOn which will result in the building of four Magic Future schools on three continents. In the near future we plan to give Magic Future members the chance to build schools and be involved in our Magic Future Foundation projects.

Malawi’s Magic Future
A report from Stefan Wissenbach

In October of 2013, my family and I travelled to Jumbo, Malawi to help build the first Magic Future school, a team effort between The Magic Future Foundation, buildOn, and the community of Jumbo itself. Our mission “To educate and inspire generations of people globally to take control, achieve more and love life” was taking shape.

In Jumbo there is a cycle of poverty that continues largely because of the inaccessibility of education and resources. Yet the community’s energy, passion and enthusiasm are incredible. For 9 weeks they came together to construct the new Kasambankhole school which will serve 210 girls, 228 boys, and 8 teachers.

Education is a powerful poverty-fighting tool that these children and their families can take, own, and run with for generations to come. It’s the definition of sustainability.

For a real sense of our experience in Malawi and to see the impact Magic Future is making, watch the film my family made.
