What information do we collect?
When you register a user account with us we collect certain information from you. This includes your personal details and your contact and address details. This information is used for various reasons including: (i) for your personal identification; (ii) to process your user account; (iii) to help us to calculate your Magic Number and; (iv) to enable us to contact you for customer service purposes and to provide you with information which is relevant to the Magic Future® concept and which we feel you will find valuable and interesting.
For quality control and training purposes, we may monitor or record your communications with us. We will keep your information for as long as is reasonably necessary for these purposes.
We would like to send you messages by email, SMS, MMS and other forms of mobile communication, but will give you the option not to receive such messages when you register a user account with us. If you nevertheless indicate that you are happy to receive such messages we promise not to bombard you with messages, and will only send you information which we think will be of interest to you. If you decide that you no longer want to receive our messages you can unsubscribe at any time by changing your profile settings on the Website.
We can assure you that we keep your information confidential and do not sell or rent our customers’ personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Who else might use your information
We generally do not share personal data with other persons. However, in order to provide our services, we may provide personal data to our affiliates and to persons which provide services to us (but always in compliance with data protection laws). We will never supply your details to any third party for marketing purposes.
We may also disclose your personal information in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions.
We will at all times comply with the standards, procedures and requirements of UK data protection laws to ensure that the personal information you give us is kept appropriately secure and processed fairly and lawfully.
We may have to pass your information to countries or jurisdictions which do not provide the same level of data protection as the UK, if necessary for the above purposes. If we do make such a transfer, however, we will (where necessary) always put a contract in place to ensure that your information is properly protected.
Amending your personal details
We want to make sure that the information we hold about you is correct and up to date at all times. You can at any time amend or update your information by logging into the Website and amending your details in the ‘Edit Profile’ tab as appropriate.
You are entitled to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you (for which we may charge a small fee).
Should you choose to have your name and personal data removed from our database altogether, you can do so by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We shall not be responsible for the activities, privacy policies or levels of privacy compliance of any External Website.
